The SMFK Pre-Fall 2026 collection introduces the "Prism" handcrafted horsehide slide, drawing inspiration from classic woven sandals and the faceted surfaces of a prism. Narrow strips of horsehide interlace from the toe toward the instep, creating a knotted, layered structure at the center of the upper; the strategic spacing between the straps balances a secure fit with breathability and visual depth. The irregular weaving pattern retains a natural, handcrafted feel, while the continuous diagonal lines establish a crisp, geometric order reminiscent of prismatic facets. Crafted from supple horsehide treated with a manual wash-and-distress process, the upper preserves natural creases, scuffs, uneven edges, and tonal variations, ensuring each pair is unique. A "Glacier Grey" finish accentuates the weathered, vintage aesthetic. Paired with a low-profile, 25mm polygonal sole and a squared-round toe, the design seamlessly blends traditional hand-weaving and minimalist avant-garde styling with everyday urban wearability.
